Affidavit

Pursuant to Law No.12 of 2006 on the Citizenship of the Republic of Indonesia, Article 41, an Affidavit is an immigration facility granted to a child holding a foreign passport who possesses limited dual citizenship. The Affidavit is issued in digital format and will be sent to the applicant’s email address. It serves as an official statement confirming the child’s limited dual citizenship status. A child who holds only a foreign passport and has obtained an Affidavit is exempt from the requirement to obtain a visa, an immigration stay permit, and a re-entry permit when entering Indonesia.

Fees

• Affidavit Issuance: €40 
• Payment can only be made by card.

Affidafit processing time

The process takes 5 working days, starting from the date of application.

The affidavit can be collected on any working day between 14:00 and 15:00 CET.

Required documents

• Completed application form.
• One recent passport-sized photograph to be affixed to the application form.
• Photocopy of the child’s foreign passport.
• Photocopy of the child’s birth certificate.
• Photocopies of both parents’ passports (with a minimum validity of six months).
• Photocopy of the parents’marriage certificate, or a child acknowledgment certificate issued by the Gementee (Municipality), or a divorce certificate together with the child custody decision.
• The officer reserves the right to request additional information and supporting documents deemed necessary for the processing of the application
